Mr. Wong has over 35 years of catering experience in Hong Kong and England

He began his career in the Golden Crown Chinese restaurant in the mid 1970’s, which is famous in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for Dim Sum and the preparation of Chinese banquets. It was here that Mr. Wong learned his trade in the traditional techniques of Chinese cooking.

From the 1980s, Mr. Wong was recruited as the master chef of the Dim Sum chef of the Ming Garden restaurant in the seafood resort of Sai Kung, Hong Kong. Mr. Wong began to develop his own distinctive style of cooking at this stage of his career.

In the late 1980s, Mr. and Mrs. Wong established the Rising Dragon, a highly popular and successful Chinese restaurant in the centre of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

From the mid 1990’s, Mr. and Mrs. Wong have set-up a number of Chinese takeaways and restaurants in and around Cambridge.

The Golden Crown is the culmination of the 35 years’ of experience in Chinese food catering and service.

At the Golden Crown we only use the freshest ingredients sourced from local and national suppliers. We maintain that good food can only come from the use of the best ingredients.

We also believe that we can get the best from our food without the need to use artificial flavourings. Therefore our dishes are freshly prepared to your order to ensure optimum taste with minimal use of salt, sugar and monosodium glutamate.
